Over the summer, there is so much we could do, but what’s better than going to a new place to see and explore? Plus, you could also try new food and possibly learn that language (if you can travel out of the U.S.) so, let’s dive in!

Paris, France

Best Day Every Day

This is the ‘City of Light’ that millions upon millions of people come to visit every year and it’s unforgettable. There are many amazing things to see here such as the Eiffel Tower, Museums, Centuries-old Churches, and blocks of Rococo- and Neoclassic-design architecture. And unlike the U.S., the city has cobblestone streets for pedestrians to go to the market, cafe, cinema, etc! Make sure though to go to check out the Eiffel Tower!

London, England

History Channel

This city is nothing short of invigorating and a lot of travelers find that just one trip isn’t enough for them after they have visited. Here, you’ll be able to find famous buildings such as the historic Tower of London, Tate Modern, The Big Bend, and Buckingham Palace. And if you’re a big fan of plays, you can go visit Shakespere’s Globe. And don’t worry if Starbucks is one of your necessities, they have it too!

Great Barriers Reef, Australia

ArcGIS Story Maps

This reef is based off the coast of Australia and is the world’s largest coral reef. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be there 24/7 underwater. This reef has over 3,000 individual reef systems, coral cays, and hundreds of picturesque tropical islands. Plus, there are many different options to choose from to see, this wonder from snorkeling and scuba diving to aircraft tours to going on a glass-bottomed boat or cruise ship tours. However, the real adventure would be swimming with the dolphins!

Cannon Beach, Oregon

Tolovana Inn

On the coast of Oregon in the Northwest, it’s like a beehive in the summer. There are nearly 4 miles of rugged shoreline and has good ‘hiking’ cliffs. If you’re an expert at building sandcastles, June is a great month to visit because they hold the annual Cannon Beach Sandcastle contest, which tends to be super popular, so make sure to be ready! And in July, comes another celebration. They have the 4th of July celebration with a bonfire.

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Viator

Being the first National park in the U.S., Yellowstone is quite the outdoor experience. There are multicolored pool swirls around many of the hot springs with forests and meadows. And with the ‘explosion’ of the geysers launching water into the sky makes this park very extraordinary indeed. Along this park too, there are waterfalls, mountains, and animals such as buffalo, elk, and even grizzly bears, so be prepared for an amazing adventure!

Rome, Italy

This city makes travelers feel like it’s a magical place with an ancient history behind it. It dates back to the era of Octavian, Julius Caesar, and Hadrian, which is what makes this place truly special. With old churches and buildings like the Colosseum and the Pantheon, Rome is definitely like a shining gem. With the summer, comes the amazing gelato! And inside the city, there is also that sense of a modern twist!

The Grand Canyon, Arizona

Insider

This 277-mile national park has many different cliffs of erosions, it makes it a beautiful natural site. Within the Grand Canyon too, the Colorado River runs at the bottom of the cliffs. Plus, people tend to at least have seen it once in their lifetime,  it would definitely be a fun experience!

These are just some of the amazing places that you could visit. Are you going to visit any of these places? Have you ever been to any of them? Tell us in the comments!
