The MLB is also planning to implement “robot umpires” to call strikes, balls, and outs. This could both be beneficial and bad for the league, because some people believe that robots couldn’t be as accurate as human umpires. They can also be easily programmed to work in a specific team’s favor. It’s just really not worth the time and money that will be used when we already have umpires that make accurate calls and robots would just be too much of a hassle. The season had been shortened from a 162 game season to a 156 game season. On the bright side, there have been rumors of a new expansion team in Nashville which is good because it would give players in that area a chance to play pro leagues and it will give MLB fans something new.
And of course there are the world series predictions, which is a lot of people’s favorite part of the MLB. A lot of people are saying that the Dodgers will make it, obviously. But surprisingly a lot of people have been saying that the Milwaukee Brewers will make it to the world series, due to their great roster, rising popularity, and more serious game strategies. This could be great for the team, as they have only made it to the world series once, and lost. If they win, it would be the first time they had won the world series, and it could work out very well for the team.
