Depending on what year you were born, you fall into a category of people, or, your generation. These generations are given names going all the way back to G.I, which are people born in the early 1900s all the way to Gen Beta, people born in the mid 2020s. The generation right before Gen Beta are known as Gen Alpha, notorious for being filled with brain rot, annoying adults that they are around, and having addictions to ipads. But if we go back even further, we’ll find Gen Z, the people in their 20s and teens and just slightly more mature then Gen Alpha. But the question is, which one are you? Those of us in the middle aren’t quite Gen Z, and aren’t quite Gen Alpha. So which one do you want to be associated with?
Gen Z:
Some people believe that Gen Z is the range from 1996-2010, others believe that it’s 1997-2012. Gen Z is known as the first generation born into a world of advanced technology. Such as cell phones, digital cameras, high tech computers, iPads, and more! This generation also experienced the rise and formation of social media platforms. They are now teenagers or in their 20s, they are growing up so fast!

Gen Alpha:
Similar to Gen Z, the cutoff years for Gen Alpha aren’t certain. Some think that it’s 2010-2024 and others claim that it’s 2013-2025. But no matter which one it truly is, we do know that Gen Alpha are in their preteens or not even double-digits yet. They were born into a world of high technology, a vast advancement in AI, and brainrot, which doesn’t need to be touched upon. It’s safe to say that Gen Alpha has made quite the spectacle to other generations and the rest of the world.

No matter which generation you are from, there are many things to be grateful about the time that you are living in today. We have access to so many things our parents never did and so many ways to live our lives to their full potential. And as the years go on, the kids of the future will have a wide variety of career choices, technology, and ways to live their lives, maybe even better than we do today. But now the decision has to be made about Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Which one are you, and which years are the right cut offs to be in those generations? Maybe we can break the tie.
