The World Series: What Happened?

The World Series is an annual baseball event where two teams play against each other for a coveted award. The story begins before the world series even happens, in the spring of every year.  Where two teams play each other in seven games to see who will go on to the playoffs, which decides who will go to the world series. This year, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays made it to the World Series. In the first game, played at the Blue Jay’s home stadium, the Dodgers were off to a great start, being up by 2 runs. But in the bottom of the 4th inning, the Blue Jays made a tie with 2 runs, putting the score at 2-2. Then, something amazing happened, in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Blue Jays scored a total of 9 runs, putting it at 11-2 with the Blue Jays up by 9. Across the rest of the game, the Dodgers ended up scoring a total of 4 runs, ending the game and putting the score at 11-4. The Blue Jays had won the first game. But that was only one of seven games that would be played.

Time for the second game, also played at Blue Jays. This one though, didn’t turn out well for the Blue Jays. The Dodgers scored a run in the first inning, putting it at 1-0. The game kept being out after out until the bottom of the 3rd when the Blue Jays scored. Then, across the 7th and 8th innings, the Dodgers scored a total of 4 new runs. After nobody scored on the 9th, the Dodgers had won the game, at a score of 5-1.

The third game was where it got rough though, at an astounding 18 innings with 9 extra innings, the game was out after out for a really long time, at double the amount of innings as usual. Still, the Dodgers won the game, scoring two runs in the first 2 innings. In the 4th though, the Blue Jays scored four runs, putting it at 4-2. In the 5th, the Dodgers scored two more, tying the game. In the 7th they both scored a run, making it 5-5. Then, after a painstakingly slow 10 more innings, in the bottom of the 18th, the Dodgers scored a single run, winning the game and putting the world series score at 2-1.

Fourth game, at the Dodgers home stadium, the Dodgers got off to a good start, scoring in the bottom of the second. However, in the 3rd, the Blue Jays scored two runs, placing the score at 2-1, up by one. In the 7th, the Blue Jays scored an insane four runs, putting the score at 6-1. By the end of the game, the Dodgers only got one more run, losing by 4 at 6-2. Putting the World Series score at 2-2.

In game five, the Blue Jays crushed the Dodgers, at 6-1 final score. The Dodgers only scored once in the 3rd inning, Blue Jays scoring 6 runs over the 9 total innings. The sixth game however, was called “the most boring game of the season” by baseball fans on the internet. With the Dodgers scoring three and the Blue Jays scoring one, both in the 3rd inning. Finally, the last game, hosted at Blue Jay Stadium on November 1st, 2025. The game really started in the 3rd inning, when the Blue Jays got three runs and put the score at 3-0. The next inning, the Dodgers got a run. In inning number 6 they both scored one, putting the score at 4-2. In both innings 8 and 9, the Dodgers scored a total of two more runs, putting it at 4-4. In the 2nd extra inning, inning 11, the Dodgers scored one. All they had to do was not let the Blue Jays get another run. After they had gotten one out, one player got onto first base. The next hit, the Dodgers pulled off a legendary double play, winning the game. Many houses across the country are celebrating and partying on their favorite team’s win.
