As March comes around, one thing that is on everybody’s mind is spring break. We can all finally have a well needed break from school to relax at our house without the worry of assignments and the impending doom of due dates. But something that tends to happen on these breaks are students lying in bed on their phones or on social media. And if you’re one to try and avoid that, there are so many ways to do so!
1: Bake!
No matter what time of year it is, it’s always fun to have a sweet treat. And what’s better than that is making it yourself! You feel accomplished when you finish the baked goods and you can learn new things like measurements and chemical reactions. On top of that, you can share your creations with friends and family so you all can enjoy a dessert, thanks to you!

2: Go to the park with friends!
When you’re not in school for two weeks, the only thing that students tend to miss are their friends. One thing you can do to keep your sanity and see them, is go to your local park. No matter where you live, you probably have a park with a field, play structure, and even sports fields and courts. This is a great way to hang out with your friends and even meet new people.

3: Go to Escape Rooms!
As mentioned before, during spring break most people feel the need to socialize with their friends. Other than going to the park, another option are escape rooms! Although they can be expensive depending on where you go, it’ll be worth it for all the laughs and memories you’ll have with your friends. And if you want to make the event even more entertaining, go to a horror escape room for a freight. Along with that, if you’re extra brave, pick one with actors that will jump out and scare you!

4: Have a movie marathon!
If you’re not like those who enjoy socializing or if you’re more introverted, you can always stay home and watch movies. One of the best hobbies is being a movie geek and something that comes along with that, is watching movie marathons. That means watching an entire movie series in one sitting. This can be loads of fun if you do it with friends and family, or just by yourself. You can have treats and snacks with you and get cuddled up under a blanket to enjoy your movies.

5: Do arts and crafts!
Last but not least are arts and crafts. There are so many creative people out there and when you’re sitting around your house with nothing to do, those people mostly turn to arts and crafts. This is a great way to practice your skills and learn different forms of art. You can even make something useful that you will use everyday. And who knows, maybe you’ll find a whole hobby to keep you busy! If you want ideas on what crafts you can do, check out the article, “Spring Crafts”!
