Cute Craft Ideas for Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s day is a day for being with the people you love and showing them that you care. Gift giving is a great way to show that, so here are some adorable homemade crafts to give to the people you love.
- 3-D Heart Balloons Card
You will need:
- Blank Paper
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Stick
- String or Twine
- Plain Pink or Patterned Paper
First, fold a piece of paper in half for the card. Then, cut out a bunch of hearts. You can use patterned paper or just plain pink, and the size depends on how many balloons you want. Fold them all in half and glue 3 of them together. Arrange them on the page to see how you like it, and then cut some string or twine to size to make them look like balloon strings coming out of all of them. Finally, glue it all to the paper and add a message on the inside and you’re done!
2. Pom-Pom and Hearts Garland
You will need:
- Yarn
- String or Twine
- Cardboard
- Fork
- Large Yarn Needle
- Tape
First, make a bunch of cardboard hearts, a little bit smaller than your palm. After that, take the end of your yarn and tape it to the back of your heart, then wrap it around the cardboard until you’ve covered all the blank spots. Once you’re done, take the end of the yarn and tie it under a piece in the back. After the hearts are all done, start making the pom-poms. Start by wrapping some yarn around a fork- the more times you wrap it, the fluffier it will be. Once you’re done with that, cut the yarn with a long string left, then tie it in a tight knot around the vertical part of the fork. Cut the yarn at both sides of the fork. Finally, you can assemble. Take some string or twine and put it through a large yarn needle, then put it through all of the pom-poms and hearts. Hang it up somewhere when it’s done as a pretty decoration!
3. Paper Heart Wreath
You will need:
- Paper
- Wreath Form
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Ribbon
First, cut out a bunch of hearts out of different shades of pink paper. After that, you are going to fold them back and forth, making sure the folds always go through the bottom of the heart at the point. Once you’re done with that, use hot glue to add them to the wreath form, making sure to overlap them. Finally, use the ribbon to make a bow and glue it to the bottom of the wreath, and you’re done!
Homemade gifts are one of the best ways to show your appreciation for people, and I hope you make some of these to give to your loved ones. Have a great Valentine’s day Bobcats!
