TMS Opinions On : Christmas Classics
As this amazing season approaches, I’m sure many of you will want to watch your favorite Christmas movie again, and again, and again… you get it. The point is, what is it? You can’t watch your favorite Christmas movies without knowing what “it” is! Let’s ask TMS’s students what their top 5 favorite movies are to watch around this time of year!
- Home Alone
This movie is actually pretty old. Made in 1990, Home Alone will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year! The votes are in and… 13/24 love Home Alone! I think it’s obvious to say this won 1st place!
- Elf
This movie is strange, crazy, and right-up ridiculous. This chaotic child-like movie is perfect if you want a bit of mayhem, even if you want to stay on the nice list. We’ve voted and… elf makes 4/24 votes; a tie for 2nd out of the top 5!
- The Grinch
We all feel like a bit of a Grinch sometimes. Whether you like the original, animation, or even the book, I’m sure you fancy one or the other. I’m sure Doctor Seuss will be slightly disappointed because the votes are 4/24! This tied with elf for 2nd of the top 5!
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Made in 1964, this stop motion animation really is old. The movie is 55 minutes long, so if you want to watch it in class, make sure to recommend it to your teachers! Rudolph will certainly be disappointed after completing an entire adventure, only to get 1/24 votes! It’s safe to say Rudolph lost this one.
- The Polar Express
Come on! We’ve all watched it at least once. As a young boy begins to skepticize the existence of Old Saint Nick, the polar express comes to pick him up. Follow his adventure as he learns about the spirit of Christmas!! Clearly, however, not enough people care about “the Spirit of Christmas” because the votes were 2/24, 3d place.
Shout out to Mr.Salcedo’s 3d period and Ms.Picquelle’s 4th period classes for “projecting” their favorite movies!
