April Fools : Fun Facts and Pranks
April fools pranks are often taken quite literally in some places. Of course, these pranks are fun and lighthearted, often ending in a laugh on both sides of the joke! April fools has a surprising history, and the jokes may get more complicated each year, but nothing stops you from having fun with your friends!
Fun Facts!
1. April fools were actually people that thought the beginning of the new year started on April 1st.
2. In 1996, Taco Bell got everyone when they falsely announced their new name would be “Taco Liberty Bell”
3. 18th century Scotland took this seriously, making April fools a 2-day event full of games and pranks!
4. Google Maps claimed that you could play Pac Man while on the site. Who knows how many people tried before the prank was revealed.
5. Burger King’s “Left-Handed Whopper” sure had customers in shock when they ordered the imaginary burger!
Easy Pranks You Can Do
Of course, April fools isn’t all facts and learning. Laughter plays a big part in this holiday, too.
1. If you’re thinking about school, put tape or a sticky note under somebody’s mouse, and watch their confusion as it doesn’t work!
2. Mix together M&M’s, Reeses, and Skittles in a bowl, and watch as everyone grabs something different!
3. Switch your salt for sugar and prepare to force down some sweet mashed potatoes.
4.Give your friend a pat on the back, while secretly leaving behind a sticky-note of your choosing
5. Stuff toilet paper in your sibling’s shoes, and watch them struggle to put them on
