The usage of AI has become a part of our everyday lives. We use it to proofread essays, research, correct grammar mistakes, and just for common entertainment. Though there are many good things about using artificial intelligence, there are also many cons that come with using these computers for many purposes, one being using them for education. These are only a few examples of the pros and cons of using artificial intelligence.
Pros
When searching for specific information, AI can come in handy. AI searches can find exactly what you are looking for without digging through many, possibly unreliable sources. AI apps can also provide you with grammar corrections and proofreading for your writing, along with other educational tools.
Cons
When using AI to search for information, it is known to take the facts from other sources without using any citations. Using the information given to you by the computer can often lead to plagiarism. Artificial intelligence also does not have human creativity. If you were to use AI to help create story or novel ideas, they are rarely ever original and lack human emotion.
The use of artificial intelligence is a useful tool for education, research, and proofreading, but is it worth the risk of plagiarism and the lack of human originality or creativity? What do you think? Be sure to share your thoughts!
