Sombr A Hit Over Night
Sombr, AKA Shane Boose, has grown in popularity recently. His hits, such as Undressed, 12 to 12, and Back to Friends, have gone extremely viral on social media platforms like Tiktok and Instagram. His music career started at the young age of 14 when he started a band with his friends, called Cherry Valley. In the band Cherry Valley, Shane was the lead singer/vocalist.
Shane attended LaGuardia High School in New York. While in high school, he took music classes and trained as a classical vocalist. He used to spend his free time riding skateboards around New York, while making songs in his bedroom. In January of 2023, he was signed to Warner Records, and shortly after, in September of 2023, he released his first EP titled “In Another Life.”

Interviews
Shane was in an interview with Interview magazine, during which he was asked these questions,
Where do you write?
“Late at night in my home studio”
Who inspires you?
“David Lynch, Jeff Buckley, John Lennon, David Bowie, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Brian Wilson, Radiohead, the Stones, the Velvet Underground, Prince, And Oasis.”
How do you feel in front of a camera?
“It doesn’t faze me.”
Do you believe in “the one”?
“I’m not too sure because I haven’t found them yet. Is it even real?”
What makes you nervous?
“Women”
What is your favorite place?
“It’s a tie between the Lower East Side and Paris.”
When do you feel lucky?
“When I see the way my music speaks to people while I’m on stage.”
That was a mouthful, but it explains a lot from within his music. From this, Shane explains that he loves interacting with his fans, he feels settled when he is in his childhood city, and that he has many inspirations.
Achievements
Some of Shane’s achievements include winning a VMA award, having 864 million streams on one song, and over 1 billion streams on all his music. Considering the fact that Shane is only 20 years old, these are some crazy achievements.

Tour
Shane is currently on his late nights, and young romance tour; his opener artist is Devon Gabriella. I would compare Devon to be a medium between Gracie Abrams and Sombr. Shane’s current tickets are sold out, so the only option to see him live is through resale, sadly. Current resale prices for his California shows start at around $200. The dates that he is coming to California include October 27, November 1st, and 2d. I’d highly recommend going to one of these shows. You can find his tickets on sites such as TicketMaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Gametime.
To wrap it up, Sombr (Shane Boose) has had many hits, and I’m sure you’ll be listening to them from 12 to 12. His musical journey has been marked by ups and downs, but his music will continue to evolve and improve.
