There are a lot of school events going on soon so here’s the scoop on everything going on at TMS! While there are only set dates for the book fair, there is some juicy info that we have here for you about these events. Let’s start with pink day! At TMS we are celebrating pink day because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. To join in on the spirit day, all you have to do is dress in pink clothing! Can you see how many of your teachers wear pink? Next, College Kick Off! Have you ever wondered what College your teachers went to? Well College Kick Off is for you! It will let you find out where your teachers went to college and what they studied! This is a fun day with lots of celebrations surrounding college, including good experiences to look at colleges that you might go to in your future! There’s so much more to learn about on this day such as jobs and occupations that interest you! You can also do online escape room based on the colleges that your teachers went to.
Finally, the book fair! We all love book fairs, and this one is for us! This book fair is sponsored by Scholastic and is from October 27th to the 30th. Students will come into the book fair with their english teacher during a set day for your class and period. Students can pay with an eWallet, credit card, apple pay, or cash, really anything. If you want to get ahead, you can “preorder” books online about a week before or a week after the book fair, and you will get the book as soon as they can give it to you. When you come in you may see some pumpkins, but don’t be alarmed! That’s just the Pumpkin in Disguise competition that is going on that same week! When you come into the book fair you can drop off some pennies into the numbered jar associated with the pumpkin you would like to vote for! It’s going to be loads of fun!
