We all know and love the Lin-Manuel Miranda-created masterpiece that we all know as Hamilton. From the dancing, songs, lines, creativity, and overall acting performance, most people would call it one of the best musicals of all time. But many people have never seen this great performance because there are no playhouses nearby. Wait no further because you will get your shot to see it in theaters soon!

What is Hamilton?
Hamilton is a biographical stage musical about the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton. Lin-Manuel Miranda used modern music styles, which caused the history to seem fresh. Lin-Manuel Miranda also had a very diverse cast, putting non- white actors to play prominent white historical figures. This play started off Broadway before moving to the Richard Rodgers theater in 2015, and it was theatrically filmed and put on Disney+ in 2020. Hamilton the Musical has had a lot of impact on American culture. Hamilton won countless awards when it first hit the big stage, including 7 Oliver awards in the West End, 11 Tony awards, A Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and 8 Drama desk awards. This was 11 out of 16 nominations, Lin-Manuel Miranda just falling short of 12, the producer’s record. Wow, that must’ve taken a lot of work, work to make all that!
Who is Lin-Manuel Miranda?
Lin-Manuel Miranda is a 45-year-old award-winning actor, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, director, and librettist. Born on January 6th, 1980, Lin-Manuel Miranda has won at least 20 major awards for his work on Hamilton, the musical. He has also written songs for popular Disney films such as Vivo, Moana, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Encanto. He has acted in Mary Poppins: The Legend Returns, and a screen adaptation of In the Heights. He directed the movie hit Tick, Tick … Boom!, and Miranda also has his own improv group called Freestyle Love Supreme. Along with all of this success in his career, he is married and has 2 children.

Hamilton the Musical’s 10 Year Anniversary!
Hamilton recently celebrated its 10th anniversary on August 6th. And to add to the celebration, Hamilton the Musical returned to Broadway, and is scheduled to have shows throughout the year, at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York, New York. There was a 10-year celebration on July 13th and a full cast reunion performance at the Tony Awards on June 8th. And to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hamilton the musical, Lin Manuel Miranda and the cast of Hamilton hosted a fan-focused matinee, an invite only fundraising event for immigrant services: We Get the Job Done Coalition, and there was a block party on 46th Street, New York, New York. Finally, there is a new wax figure of the star Lin-Manuel Miranda that was introduced to Madame Tussauds in New York, New York, on August 5th.
Hamilton in Theaters!
Hamilton will now be accessible to all playing in theaters starting on September 5th for the show’s 10-year anniversary in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico; on September 26th, the United Kingdom and Ireland will get their shot to see this movie, and then finally on November 13th, Australia and New Zealand will get to see this great production. The movie in theaters will also include a Reuniting the Revolution prologue.
