The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally releasing after 8 years! You heard that right, after 8 years, we are finally getting an upgrade from the previous Nintendo Switch. But people aren’t very excited about it. Why is that?
Well, from recent news, it’s been stated that it will cost about $450 and $500 for the Mario Kart World bundle, which includes the new Mario Kart game. Now that might sound crazy, but that’s not all. If you want to purchase a new game for the Switch 2, it could cost from prices between $70-$90. Some digital games will cost $80, and physical copies will cost $90. People are complaining about the Switch 2 being overpriced, however, there are some pros to it.
One feature of the Switch 2 will be the FPS (frames per second) increase, which will make the game smoother to play handheld, going from 30 FPS in handheld mode and 60 FPS in docked mode, to 120 FPS in handheld and 60 FPS in docked mode. This is a huge improvement since one of the main complaints about the previous Nintendo Switch was the poor FPS.
Another new feature is “GameChat”, which is a type of voice chat. This feature allows you to talk to other people playing with you. Plus, the main mechanic of the Nintendo Switch 2 is magnetic snapping Joy-Cons that can turn into a mouse. By snapping off the Joy-Cons, they can turn into a mouse with an extension. Though a little odd, this seems interesting. The Nintendo Switch 2 is also compatible with old Switch games, so you don’t have to purchase them all again.
Some smaller things are the increased storage, larger screen, and faster wifi. But from the priciness of the console itself to the new features, buying it is all dependent on you. So will you be buying the Switch 2?
