As the new school year begins, we are excited to introduce the improved TMS Press! This year, TMS Press has a lot of new content for you to enjoy, including articles and entertainment. Meet the new club adviser!
When did you start teaching?
“I worked as a substitute teacher for several years before going into my own classroom in 2019! I taught in Albuquerque, NM for 5 years and this is my 2nd year here at TMS.”
Why did you take over this club?
“I took over TMS Press because I used to run the news program at my last school and I really enjoy working with student journalists!”
What is your favorite thing about this club?
“My favorite thing about running TMS Press is that I get to help my journalists investigate and report on topics that really interest them, and then we get to share that with the world!”
Meet the 8th grade executives!
Alexis Dez is excited to be our president! She has a passion for writing about news and loves Dustin Hoffman movies. Molly Mattingly, our amazing vice president, loves her dog, Gigi, and writing narratives! Cecily is the secretary and loves heavy metal and entertainment writing. Maggie is our treasurer! She enjoys writing about her interests, reporting news, and playing piano.
A new chapter in TMS Press has started, and we are so excited to improve this year. Our passionate writers come to meet Mrs. Thompson’s room during advisement. If you’re passionate about writing, join our club next year! Any 7th grader or 8th grader next year can join and learn how to write articles and conduct interviews for our school news.
