From spider webs to ghouling ghosts, Halloween is one of the most loved holidays ever. Without decorations, you may as well not even have the holiday. Decorations practically create the holiday itself so you have to go all out. Even if it means going the extra mile and making the decorations with your own two hands. Here are some fun creations you can do yourself.
Paper, scissors, and a pencil are all you need to make a classic decoration favorite. “Nightmare Before Christmas” is one of the best Halloween and Christmas movies of all time. You only need a square piece of colored paper to make Jack Skeleton’s classic paper spider web. Just fold the square piece and draw half of a spiderweb with half a spider in the middle, like the picture below, and follow the cutout as well. For extra help here’s a video tutorial! Witches, Skeletons, Bats, Pumpkins, and more are always fun and original Halloween-themed ideas for decor and crafts. With only a toilet paper roll, some multi-colored paper, scissors, and a pencil, you could create an easy 10-minute decoration for your home. All you need to do is cut the paper so it is able to fit around the toilet paper roll once. Then you can either tape or glue it to the roll so it stays on, then after that you can draw on the paper, add ears, maybe eyes, or just decorate the roll and bring it to life!
You usually have to wait a while until it’s closer to Halloween to buy and carve out your favorite pumpkin. But with this craft, all you need is scissors, orange and green paper, and a glue stick . Then you can make your paper pumpkin and skip the wait. Cut out strips of orange paper of the same length. Fold them in half, then glue the middle of all of them together in separate directions to make a snowflake shape. Finally, glue the top pieces together and cut out a few leaves from the green paper and a long strip. Roll the green strip up, glue the leaves and the strip on the top of the pumpkin and you are done. Here’s a video to help! Pumpkin tutorial
Finally, if you love insects, Halloween, and are good at crafting, this final Halloween craft is for you. Using tinfoil, black paper, and some fun googly eyes, you can make the perfect spider in any size you want. All you need to do is crumple up a piece of aluminum, cut out a few black strips, and fold the tips. Then, glue on the strips, and finally, tape or glue(whichever you have) on the eyes of your spider on the front of the aluminum.
These creative and easy decorations will lead you to have a festive house ready for Halloween to come. As the spooky season comes, spiders, witches, pumpkins, and more will perfectly decorate your home, Happy Halloween!
