Pineapple on Pizza: Yum or Yuck?

Do you love pineapple on pizza? Do you feel like it doesn’t belong? It’s usually one or the other. We went to many TMS classrooms to find out if pineapple on pizza is really what some people think it’s cracked up to be.

Overall Statistics

A total of 152 students were interviewed. We found out that 53 students enjoyed pineapple on their pizza. On the contrary, ninety-nine students did not enjoy pineapple on pizza. This means that around 35% of kids liked pineapple on pizza and around 65% of students did not. This data shows that most students at TMS don’t like pineapple on pizza.

We also interviewed some students on both sides of the debate. Here’s what they have to say.

Aaron Lassiter, 6th Grade.

“I like It because it adds a lot of flavor.”

Ricardo Castillo, 7th Grade.

I don’t like it because it tastes weird.”

Overall Polls

Mrs. Corelli, 6th Math Teacher

In Mrs. Corelli’s 6th-grade advisory class, 18 kids said they do not like Pineapple on their pizza and only 10 said they like it. The overall vote in Mrs Corelli’s advisory class is that pineapple does not belong on pizza.

Mrs. Strosnider, 7th Grade Math Teacher

In Mrs. Strosniders, 7th grade advisory class, a total of 19 kids said they do not like Pineapple on their pizza, and only 4 said they like it. The overall vote in Mrs. Strosniders advisory class is that pineapple does not belong on pizza.

Mr. Carbajal, 8th Math teacher

In Mr Carbajal’s 8th grade advisory class, 11 kids said they do not like Pineapple on their pizza and an astonishing 1 kid said they like it. The overall vote in Mr Carbajal’s advisory class is that pineapple does not belong on pizza.

In conclusion, most people here on campus don’t like pineapple on pizza.

I do not prefer pineapple by itself on pizza.My brother has this type of pizza he likes which I like too.It has ham, bacon, chicken, pineapple, and pepperoni,its really tasty.

Pineapple is a fruit, why would it go on pizza, it would ruin the cheese because pineapple is a fruit and so it is wet and makes the cheese wet and makes it soggy and just bad.

I’m not sure if pineapple belongs on pizza because I have never tried it before but hearing from other people in the past they all say it is DISGUSTING

In my opinion, pineapple belongs on the pizza. It adds a sweet and refreshing taste to hot food. It can get a little much without eating something fresh on a delicious good so having pineapple on pizza helps this problem.

  I Agree with your opinion, pineapple is good on pizza if you’ve actually tried it. People in most societies believe that it doesn’t belong just because the idea of it sounds like it is just wrong! But, it really is good while adding a tangy but sweet addition to pizza. =)

Personally, I think pineapple belongs on pizza. Actually, I do not like fresh pineapple because of how sour it is, but when you bake it on pizza it gets so good. I think pineapple 100% belongs on pizza.
