Fall for Fashion: Fall Look-Book 2024

As we say goodbye to summer, fall is here! Living in Southern California we don’t have as cool weather as other places during the fall, leaving us uncertain on what to wear. Need some ideas? This is the article for you! 

Clothes

Flannels

Flannels are a great item that a bunch of people have in their closet. They are light which is perfect for the days where it’s not quite hot but not cold either. They are a great item for layering as well. You can get flannels at places like Old Navy and Tilly’s. 

Overalls

Overalls are a staple! They never seem to go out of style, and they are quite easy to style. Whether they are short overalls or regular overalls, you can be sure to have a cute outfit ready to go. Some places with cute overalls are Old Navy, Tillys, Urban Outfitters, and even Target!

Baggy Jeans

Baggy jeans are something many people have in their closet and are a perfect staple all year round, not just during fall. For girls, recently low-rise jeans have been making its rounds but high-rise can still be pulled off perfectly. For boys, some great places to get jeans are Zumiez, Tilly’s, Levi’s, and Hollister.  For girls, some great places are Tilly’s, PacSun, and Hollister. 

Jean Skirt/Skort

Jean skirts and skorts are quite easy to style. They are so easy to dress up or dress down to your liking. Jean skorts are great functionally. They come with shorts built into them and can also be a great, more comfortable substitute for a jean skirt. Some great places to get jean skirts and skorts are Pacsun, Zara, Princess Polly, and a bunch more!

Square + Scoop Neck Baby Tees

Square neck and scoop neck baby tees are perfect items that everyone can pull off. They are great basics that you can find in multiple different colors and are also super flattering. Because they are basics, you can style them with basically anything from jean shorts to sweatpants. Some great places to find these tops are Hollister, Garage, and Amazon.  

Button-Ups

Button-up shirts are a great item to have. It adds an extra layer to your outfits and many come with cute prints. Both boys and girls can pull these off well. Button-ups are great statement pieces and can be perfect for your wardrobe this fall. Some great places to find these are Hollister, Poshmark and Depop, and many other places. 

Jorts

Jorts might be a controversial item for your fall closet, but some people can pull them off! Back in the late 80’s stars Madonna and Sandra Bernhard sported jorts at the “Don’t Bungle the Jungle” benefit concert. Now celebrities like the Hadid sisters and Hailey Bieber can be seen wearing jorts. Some places you can get jorts from are Hollister, Edikted, Tillys, and Levi’s.
