The movie ‘Encanto’ was released on November 24, 2021 on disney+ and ever since then has been a huge hit. Encanto has been viewed more than 13 billion times with an audience rate of 93% liked.
Encanto is based on The Madrigals, which are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigal’s last hope when

she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger. Encanto is set in the state of Columbia with a time frame of the early 1950’s, which explains the cultural references and technology in the film.
This movie was directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Produced by Yvett Merino and Clark Spencer, with original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
A few fun facts about Encanto that you may have not known before, Mirabel the films main character is the first main Disney-animated female character to wear glasses.
Bruno is hidden in all of the film’s movie posters and in some of the songs in the movie.
The Encanto song ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ passes ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ as the biggest animated Disney hit in 26 years. Encanto is Walt disney’s 60th animated film right above ‘Raya and the Last Dragon”. Encanto would not have been made without ‘Zootopia’ another disney-animated movie made by the same producers.
Encanto had a showing of 8 songs including “The Family Madrigal”, “Waiting On a Miracle”, “Surface Pressure”, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, “What Else Can I Do?”, “Columbia, Mi Encanto”, “Dos Oruguitas”, and “All of You”. All of these songs were composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda who is also the music producer of “Hamilton” and “In the Heights”.
Encanto is a story of generational trauma and family dysfunction, two common reasons young adults forgo forging their own families.
