The Summer I Turned Pretty: Everything That’s Lead Up to Now

From being in tears one minute to jumping up and down the next, most of us have heard the title The Summer I Turned Pretty a lot these past summers! The characters never fail to steal our hearts! But was season two the last of it? Let’s find out!

The Summer I Turned Pretty is about a girl named Isabel Conklin (Belly) who goes to a beach house in Cousins with her mom (Laurel) and brother (Steven) every summer. They meet up with the mom (Susannah) of two sons who are Jeremiah and Conrad. The series is based on the love triangle between Conrad, Belly, and Jeremiah. To help Belly with everything going on is her best friend Taylor. While watching you go through every emotion from happy to sad. The amazing actors/actresses who play these characters are Lola Tung as Belly, Christopher Briney as Conrad, Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah, Sean Kaufman as Steven, Rain Spencer as Taylor, Jackie Chung as Laurel, and Rachel Blanchard as Susannah. These are just some of the incredible actors/ actresses who play roles in the series!

The Summer I Turned Pretty has been popular since the first book came out in 2009. It continued to be when the trilogy was completed with the next two books following the release closely after. Then, the first season of Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty series came out on June 17, 2022. After seeing how many people enjoyed it, season two was released on July 14, 2023. Everyone is anxiously waiting for season 3 to be released!

There is no specific release date of when season three will be coming out. What we do know is it will be released sometime in the summer of 2025! From what we know, all of the main cast members will return. Although, it has been confirmed that Kyra Sedgwick who plays Aunt Julia in the second season will not be returning for the upcoming third season. Prime Video announced that season three will have 11 episodes, three more than season two!

Ever since the first book came out there has been a controversy about who is Team Conrad and who is Team Jeremiah. Let’s look at some students’ responses about who they would choose! We asked eleven students who their pick was.
