In the new year so many things get added. New students, new activities, and new electives. But most importantly new teachers! New teachers are always so much fun to have around school. It’s always so great when you get to know them and really make them feel at home here at TMS. This year in particular has quite a few new teachers. Including Mrs. Thompson! We all love her, but do we really know her? Here are some facts about Mrs. Thompson to get to learn more about her as a teacher.
1.How is your experience at TMS so far?
“My experience has been wonderful! Everyone is so helpful and so welcoming! Big shoutout to Mrs. Kruger, Mrs. Matus, and Mrs Prato for all their support.”
2.Why did you choose TMS as your choice of school?
“ I chose TMS because it felt so welcoming!”
3.How long have you been a teacher?
“I have been teaching middle school for the last five years and I worked as a substitute in all grade levels for three years before that.”
4.What subject do you teach or is your favorite subject to teach?
“I teach English; my favorite is actually a tie between English and Philosophy! I’ve always loved reading and writing, but the human mind is too fascinating to ignore.”
5.If you weren’t a teacher what would your job be?
“ I love teaching! If I wasn’t a teacher, I would want to work with animals in some way.”
6.What is your favorite grade to teach?
“I really love teaching secondary grades- middle and high school. I’ve taught every grade from preK to twelfth and the older kiddos are definitely more my speed!”
Mrs. Thompson is our new English teacher and this school is lucky to have her On our staff.She’s kind, caring and a delightful person to be around. We hope her journey here continues to grow and becomes even better through this year and the next!
