Have you heard about Temecula Valley High School’s track team yet? Well, if you haven’t now you are about to! The TVHS track team is a fabulous team that works hard and earns what they deserve. The amazing coach of the girl’s and boy’s track team is Desmond Lee! Some of the days they have meets are, March 7, March 14, and March 21st all at 3:15pm. 

Track is one of the most popular sports with 1.1 million student athletes competing for it in high school.

Track is a very hard sport and you have to be pretty talented to be able to do it. Track is very popular for students in middle school and high school. Most kids that do track have probably been running or doing a sport like soccer or football before track because the running and jumping needs time and hard work.

Track was created a long long time ago in ancient Greece when all the men celebrated the Greek Gods when showing off their athletic skills. When this first was created only men were allowed to do track and not women. In 1929 women started to be able to do track and it was open to them by the Amateur Athletic Union. Ever since then, women were allowed to start doing track.

Did you know that the first track Olympic was in Greece in 776 B.C.?! Track has been going on for that long!?

 Track is one of the most popular sports because people just love how diverse sports are on this planet with it being both culturally and athletically. Track isn’t just one sport itself but has all these sports that you do in track like the long jump, sprints, high jump, shot put, discus throw, and hurdles. All these you do on track. So track isn’t just running, but it is a lot of other things too. If you are a very competitive person then track is for you!
