We have already talked about TMS Band but now it is time to talk about TMS choir. If you don’t know what a choir is, it is a group of people that sing together. Here at TMS the choir teacher is Mrs.Mewes.  She is a wonderful teacher and helps us get our voices to sound nice and make us better singers. In choir, students can go on field trips like Disneyland, Universal Studios and more.

Mrs. Mewes has three wonderful classes that you can be in! Her first period class is mixed Choir, which is a mix of 7th and 8th grade girls and boys. Then, her second and third period is treble choir. Treble choir is a group of 7th and 8th grade girls! And then lastly her 4th, 5th, and 6th period classes are beginning choir, beginning choir is only 6th grade students! 

Choir isn’t just a class where you only sing but you also get to have fun parties like, donut parties, pizza parties, and more!! Choir also has two concerts every year; the winter concert, and the spring concert! All concerts that they have are in the MPR.

Here are some fun facts about choir!

1. Smiling while singing helps your voice sound better.
2. Never lock your knees while singing on stage or else it will make you dizzy and or faint. 

3. Choir was invented to perform musical rituals.
