Grim Grinning Ghosts- Haunted Mansion:

Grim Grinning Ghosts is the theme song for the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World/Land.  This song is a bit less known than the others on this playlist but still a good Disney tune!  It’s about a group of ghosts called Grim Grinning Ghosts and they come out to socialize and scare people at Halloween.

Spooky Scary Skeletons- Andrew Gold:

We all probably remember the song Spooky Scary Skeletons from Halloween a few years ago when it became a dance trend on “TikTok”.  I hope this brings back some nostalgia for you if you remember the catchy song.  Spooky Scary Skeletons is a song about a group of skeletons who are seen as creepy but only want to socialize.  The song was edited into an old Disney animation from 1929 called “The Skeleton Dance” and uploaded to YouTube.  That’s probably where you recognize the song from.

This Is Halloween-The Nightmare Before Christmas:

This Is Halloween is the main song from The Nightmare Before Christmas.  The movie is about Jack Skellington, the King of “Halloween Town” and how he finds “Christmas Town” and becomes obsessed with celebrating Christmas.  This Is Halloween is a song introducing the watcher to Halloween Town and the people and things inside it.  They describe the monsters, and what they do in the town, and they introduce the king of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington.

Monster mash-Bobby Pickett:

Monster Mash is a song from 1962 and was written by Bobby “Boris” Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers.  The song is about a scientist working in a lab who creates a monster, and to the scientist’s surprise, the monster starts doing “The Monster Mash”.  This song may be old, but it’s still played every Halloween and is a classic definitely right for this playlist!

I Put a Spell on You- Hocus Pocus:

This movie, Hocus Pocus, is a comedy about 3 old witches that are sisters and they put people under spells.  The song is sung by Winifred and is about Winifred putting a spell on the listeners and that she isn’t lying about it.

Purple People Eater- Sheb Wooley:

This is one of my favorite songs from preschool. It is a song from a movie and is about a monster that dances and it’s really fun and upbeat.

I’m a Monster – Becky G :

This is a song that is really upbeat and fun to dance to and it is by Becky G. The song is Becky saying that she’s a monster and singing about everything she does as a monster.  It’s a good song that everyone may not know.

Thriller – Michael Jackson:

This is a song that talks about what it is like on Halloween night and all the scares that come with it.  It’s a catchy song that everyone knows and enjoys.

Somebody’s Watching Me- Michael Jackson:

This is another song by Michael Jackson.  The song is about Michael thinking someone is watching him.  It’s another Halloween song that everyone knows!
