Highest-Grossing Movies this 2024
These few months there have been a ton of movie releases including Deadpool and Wolverine, Alien Romulus, and Twister, but how good did they do?
Deadpool and Wolverine
One of the most popular movies of all time was Deadpool and Wolverine, ranked #1 in the highest rated-R movie of all time. With Ryan Reynolds acting as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The movie made 1.28 Billion dollars worldwide. It’s also the second-biggest movie this year. Also, this is a very comedic movie with tons of hilarious moments. It is also filled with lots of adult jokes.
Twister
A less popular movie called “Twister” is rated PG-13 with the theme of Tornados. This movie is mainly an action/thriller movie. Making 339 Million dollars worldwide. The movie got a rating of 6.7/10. A short description of the movie is “A retired tornado-chaser and meteorologist is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team and new technologies.” According to IMDb.
Alien Romulus
Alien Romulus, is a sequel to both of the original movies. This movie takes place 20 years after the original one. Also, Xenomorph from the original movie turns out to survive. This movie is also R-rated but with a more serious tone compared to Deadpool and Wolverine. Also a horror movie. The movie made about 318 million dollars being the second highest-grossing movie in the Alien franchise. A short description is, “Space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life-form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station.”
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a sequel to the original movie 36 years after the original. With Michael Keaton making a return to his character the movie surrounds, “Beetlejuice”. The movie currently has made 153 million dollars only being released. The movie is rated pg-13. With lots of mixed opinions about the movie itself, it surprisingly received lots of positive reviews.
