We all must know about Disney and how they are currently not performing very well, such as recent releases of remakes of original movies and Marvel movies. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then let me break it down for you. Over the past few years, Disney has bought 2 large franchises. Both are Marvel and Pixar. People recently have had bad views of Disney for the repetitiveness of the films. Marvel being the Multiverse and Pixar remaking their original films like Toy Story.
But why have they been performing so badly recently? The main reason is the decline of original ideas. They have constantly been remaking some of their original films. Such as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and the Toy Story movies, and soon to come, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Also, in the past few months, Disney has been receiving pretty bad reviews. Ever since the Sonic films were released, they have been outperforming recent movies. According to some rumors, Disney is now trying to buy Sega, the gaming studio that made Sonic. People are now afraid that if Sega accepts the deal, it will run into the ground along with the other franchises. But these are still rumors, and it’s not likely.
This may seem bad for them, but remember, Disney makes millions of dollars every day, mostly from its parks and merchandise. So even if it spends a lot of money on a project and doesn’t make more money than it costs to produce, it still earns a large income from its parks.
However, their streaming service has been starting to decline lately, with slow subscriber rates and competitors beating them. This means that they’ve been losing money and now won’t be making as much from Disney+. But what do you guys think?
