Halloween is coming up soon, and there are a lot of costume options to choose from and you might need help picking one. So here are some fun ideas to pick from and ways you can make them yourself.
Beetlejuice
The iconic character, Beetlejuice has just returned in the new movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! It just might be one of the most popular costumes to wear this Halloween. You can find his striped shirt and green wig on Amazon for around $30. If you wish for more accessories you can create Beetlejuice’s Carousel Hat seen in the first movie. All that you will need is some cardboard tubes, paint or other coloring tools, cut-out bats, and other decorations. With his green hair, pale white face, and striped shirt, your Beetlejuice costume will catch the eyes of everyone in the neighborhood.
Deadpool and Wolverine duo Costume
Based off of the popular movie that came out not too long ago is the Deadpool and Wolverine Duo costume. A fun Costume idea to do with you and your best friend. If you’re a craft person you can make it yourself, making the claws out of cardboard and covering it with silver paint. Same thing with Deadpool’s katanas. Or you can buy fake ones made of metal from Amazon. The mask you can make by getting a normal mask then painting it and adding texture to make it look like Deadpool. For the Wolverines mask, you can do the same and add pieces of cardboard for the black part. A questionable part of Deadpool’s costume is the pistols, which could be mistaken for actual guns.
Jack Skellington
A costume idea from the Night Before Christmas movie. Jack Skellington aka, The Pumpkin King of Halloweentown. A tall skeleton with a white pumpkin-looking head. He is well known for being tall and spooky with his black pinned stripe suit. A way you can replicate this look is by buying an oversized black and white striped tuxedo, which you can get for cheap just by searching it up. Also, get a bat tie for his suit. Then for the head, you can buy a white plastic pumpkin, carve out his facial features, and use black yarn for the stitching on his mouth. For a taller appearance, you can put long metal sticks through the suit into his lower torso for his hands that you can control. Then put more sticks to the shoulders and head for support. This idea will be sure to surprise lots of other Halloween enthusiasts.
Demogorgon
This terrifying creature is most frequently seen in the tv show Stranger Things and will be a thrilling costume idea. In Stranger Things the Demogorgon can be found in the Upside Down, an exact mimic of our world but full of frightening beasts and eerie places. You can buy this costume for $20 at the least, but if you love to craft, you can create a costume for your pet as well. If you use thick felt, elastic, and glue you can turn your furry friend into a Demodog. This Halloween, dress as this ferocious creature with a costume that is out of this dimension.
Freddy Fazbear
This Halloween you could dress up as Freddy Fazbear and frighten everyone around you. This character is from the heart-pounding game and movie Five Nights at Freddy’s which is about a security guard viewing a spooky, abandoned pizzeria. Even you and your friends can all team up as FNAF characters to terrify others this Halloween. If you love crafts, you can make more accessories, like Chika’s Cupcake, and Carl. You can use foam balls for the top of the cupcake. Cut it in half and use a toilet paper roll for the bottom. You can use other art supplies for the details. This year, horrify others by dressing as these demented animatronics.
These are only a few of the countless costumes you can wear this Halloween. Be sure to venture out. Team up with your friends, craft other parts of your costume, and most importantly, have fun on this frightening night.
